David F: I am a full time principal optometrist in both hospital and community settings, in addition to being a keen technologist. I have always had a passion for technology and its effect on/uses in optometry. I act as a technological consultant to various optometry equipment firms. Clinically I have special interests in glaucoma, binocular vision (eye muscle problems), vision related reading difficulties, visual stress, dyslexia and paediatric optometry. I am currently undertaking a review of 3D displays and their implications for optometric practice. When I'm not putting up musings on here I can be found over at www.dfoptometrists.com
